Which direction did you move today?

***Update:  Comments are now open***

How many of you fell behind today? Financially, physically, spiritually? How many of you didn’t so much fall behind but stayed in the same place you were yesterday? Why?
Many folks made promises and commitments on January 1, 2010. Things they wanted to accomplish, hobbies to improve upon, or bettering themselves in any number of ways. Many of these same folks are nearly 25% of the way through the year, yet have not even BEGUN to focus on the goals that were so important just a few weeks ago.
I am a movement coach. I teach kettlebell movements, barbell movements, steel bending movements, and primal movements to individuals much like myself. People who are dedicated to the art of physical culture (whether or not they know it yet). They probably wouldn’t consider themselves among the athletic elite, some of them may even think they are still just fat and out of shape. But they don’t see it like I do. I watch them come in to the gym over a period of weeks and months. Their faces change, their bodies change. Not just from a body composition standpoint. My clients (you know who you are!) MOVE better. They have much more youthful looks in their eyes, much more hunger. This is why I do what I do. Most clients come in on the first day and they simply want to lose fat and gain muscle. I hope they realize my goal is to give them more than that. I wish to enable every person who is brave enough to commit their time and money to better their lives with a program they can follow forever. I am not a drill sergeant who simply blows the whistle when the set begins and ends. I owe them a program tailor made for THEIR body. Something that promises perpetual progress. A program designed to eliminate injury. One that doesn’t leave you so sore you can’t walk for two days. One that provides the BEST results. Good doesn’t cut it for me.
These men and women did not THINK about making a change in their lives, they ACTED. This post is directed at anyone who wanted 2010 to be a starting point to living a better life physically and mentally. Whether you want to lose 60 pounds this year or add 100 pounds to your bench press. Don’t waste any more time thinking about what might be the best program for you, TEST this for yourself. Call me, e-mail me, comment on this blog, but for goodness sakes DO something! If exercise “isn’t your thing” or “diets don’t work for me,” I’ve got some news for you: The fat isn’t going anywhere soon. It’s time to move FORWARD every day, I know you can because me and my clients do it consistently and without killing ourselves.
My wife and I want to offer up a challenge to those of you dedicated enough to handle it. It’s not for everyone, and will require you to make changes in your lifestyle. Sacrifices. It will be a giant leap for people who want to lose ALOT of fat, gain muscle, and acquire energy levels never thought possible.
It is called the Advocare 24-Day Challenge. The first 10 days of this program act as a full body cleanse. Herbal, natural supplements are included, as well as dietary advice and meal ideas. The last 14 days will boost your metabolism, increase energy levels, and burn fat like no other program on the market. Our goal is to assemble a team of 24-Day Challenge contestants who will be invited to comment on any topic at my blog. I will answer ASAP and be with all of you during the process (Yes, I’ll be cleansing and leaning out my holiday cookie lovehandles as well!). I will offer advice on exercise, have meal ideas, and make sure every person is on the right track.
The 24-Day Challenge begins on March 21, 2010, so don’t wait. Contact us and get your kit so you’ll be ready to go with the rest of us. The army is already forming fast, so you won’t be alone. Everyone will be encouraged to post thoughts/comments on the blog and have FUN getting in shape together. If you follow this program to its fullest the results are guaranteed. But remember, this is a 24 day commitment to a healthier lifestyle. You will be rewarded with a much leaner body, more energy, and a renewed sense of focus.
Thank you all and good luck with your goals, hope to hear from you soon!

  1. Is this where we will be talking about the challenge? Could you give us some meal ideas Dustin, or what you will be eating each day of the challenge?

  2. Hey, sorry about the delay in answering your comment. Yes, this is where we will be talking about the 24 Day challenge. I will be having an Advocare meal replacement shake with a banana for breakfast at about 600 each day. Until about noon I will grab a few pieces of raw broccoli or green peppers and maybe some raw almonds. Then maybe a cup of tea or a Spark energy drink. In the afternoon I like carrots, bell peppers, tomatoes, and maybe a couple ounces of lean turkey breast. Dinner always consists of staples like lean chicken, beef, or pork (10-16 ounces for me), asparagus, spinach, and any other green veggies you might enjoy. I will lightly grill or pan fry dinner vegetables in 1 tablespoon of olive oil. After workouts I consume a Post-Workout Recovery Drink by Advocare. This is my diet 5-6 days a week. Simple, minimalist in nature, and extremely conducive to fat loss.
